DR. MARK LUCYK
Mark Lucyk, Ph.D., received his B.A. degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University. After completing his training in 1984 at the Institute of Living in Hartford, he worked there as a Staff Psychologist until 1990.
Since that time he has been in full-time private practice in West Hartford, working with adults, adolescents and children, employing various modalities of treatment including individual, couples and family therapies. Much of his work has involved helping individuals and families deal with the emotional effects of the various phases of divorce. This work shaped his belief that the mediation process is a humane, sensitive and effective approach to addressing the complex family and individual problems that arise during and after the divorce process. This in turn influenced his decision to be trained as a divorce mediator in 1995 and his subsequent collaboration with Attorney Kathy Martin.
"Mark's input as a co-mediator has been invaluable in helping our clients through emotionally difficult moments that are inevitably present in the divorce process."
~ Kathy Martin
